Hector's Marshstomp evolved from his all-powerful Mudkip after he had realized the error of his ways. It lost the unnatural power given to it by Torrent, but Hector and Marshstomp are still best friends. Marshstomp does not actually appear in the story, but is mentioned in the Epilogue.
